At Acorn Perinatal Care, we provide comprehensive perinatal care services that is focused on the unique needs of pregnant people and their families.
Your individual team provides extensive postpartum support, including postpartum home visits, lactation support, and well-baby group postpartum care to promote recovery, wellness, and supportive connection to your community.
In-House Registered Midwife Team
Intrapartum Birth Care & Hospital Assessments
All births at Acorn Perinatal Care are attended by our In-House Registered Midwife at Victoria General Hospital. We work closely and collaboratively with the Perinatal Care Team at the hospital to ensure the safest care for you and your baby.
Our In-House Registered Midwife team also provides Surgical First Assist in the Operating Room if you require a surgical birth.
Our goal is to ensure a positive and empowering experience for expecting parents. We offer translation services in labour as needed. We are always available and in-house at the hospital.

The In-House Registered Midwife is available by consultation to the broader Victoria Midwifery community by providing care and assessments for community midwifery clients on an as-needed basis. All services are covered under MSP.

Acorn Midwives are dedicated to providing culturally inclusive, gender-supportive, and client-centred care and health navigation to all people. Our team is committed to creating a supportive and respectful environment where everyone feels valued and understood. We strive to promote equity in perinatal health and well-being.

Our team has a special focus on providing care for newcomers to Canada, non-native English speakers, people with a history of birth trauma or difficult birth outcomes, complex fertility histories, and 2SLGBTQ+ families.

We provide in-clinic translation services to those clients requiring this care.
